Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

It is that time of year again, the most anticipated Nordstrom anniversary sale. This year they are doing things a little differently and instead of the catalog they are hosting a preview starting on July 24th. This is a great time to go through the sale and add items you want to your wish list to help make shopping easier for you when it is your turn to shop. I have put together five collages of my favorite picks and explained all the details to make it as easy as I can for you to score BIG.

Nordstrom cardholders will have the opportunity to shop the sale early depending on their cardholder status.

Everyday Makeup Updated

Everyday Makeup Updated

Lets talk makeup, one of my favorite topics. I have always loved going to Ulta walking around and finding new products to try. Recently I have found some really awesome keepers there but what I am most excited to show you comes from Cosmakery. Cosmakery is a small FEMALE owned business right here in Michigan. All products are cruelty free and clean from parabens, sulfates, fragrance, mineral oil, gluten, and lead. I first came across them on Instagram and decided I had to try their sculpting sticks out and let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

The photo to the left is a full face with just using the light and medium-deep sculpting sticks, no foundation! I just ordered their bronzer, buffing brush, setting spray, lip stick, and lip gloss so I can not wait to try those and let you know what I think. If you are interested in trying their makeup or just checking them out, you can click their website here. https://www.cosmakery.com/

Lets Talk Anxiety

Lets Talk Anxiety

Anxiety is something I have always struggled with and continue to work through everyday. I thankfully have more good days than bad but it took me a long time and a lot of work to get to this point. I used to be ashamed of my anxiety and let it run my life. I would cancel plans with friends, skip school, and once I got older I would call off work because I did not feel emotionally stable enough to go. It eventually got to the point where I realized I needed help to figure out these emotions. I was able to learn most of my triggers and some new techniques that help keep my anxiety at bay so I can go about my daily life.

I just received my favorite monthly package, and if you know me you know what it is. If you do not know what IPSY is, it is a “Glam Bag” filled with favorite beauty products for you to test out yourself. It is a monthly subscription with three different personalized options.

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Every year I leave shopping for father’s day to the last minute because I have no idea what to get. My dad is someone who just goes out and buys it if he thinks of something he wants, which makes holidays hard for anyone who has to buy for him. This year I decided to start looking now and make a list of everything I find to help make picking one easier.

I knew this blog was going to be a hard one for me to write but I had no idea it would take me this long to just finish and post it. I feel very vulnerable about sharing the pictures that are below. I started this blog to help inspire, teach, and show women what can happen when you have a little faith. To do that I need to show that I am relatable and that I am willing to put myself out there even if it is hard for me.

For as long as I can remember I have had an excessive amount of fat cells under my chin. I was told it was probably hereditary and a result of having a rounder face. It caused some serious insecurities for me growing up and even more as I got into my twenties. It especially became something I thought about often after a stranger pointed it out at the bar this past summer.

My Dream Job

My Dream Job

I am overwhelmed with emotions, today is my two year anniversary at my dream job! In 2015 I decided that college was not for me and that I really wanted to go to Cosmetology school. My hope was to go to an Aveda school but I was planing on moving to Chicago in October. I decided to do a search for schools out there, lo and behold they had a Douglas J Aveda location right where I was looking to live. A little over 4 months into my schooling I had to go on a medical leave, this was only one of many bumps along the way.

Daily God Time

Daily God Time

When I decided to start a blog with faith being a category, this post was the first one I thought of. This is a topic that really hits home for me and something I am really passionate about. If you have not read my post “My Baptism Story” I highly suggest you go and read it. A devotional is what started my journey of re-devoting myself to god. I always say (to myself), a devotional a day keeps the negative thoughts away and that could not be more true. I strongly believe there are multiple benefits to reading a devotional.
